NEW IN // LEMON DROPS

Des couleurs et des formes en provenance du soleil, qui font écho à la chaleur ambiante, et qui rassurent quand les volets sont fermés pour la sieste. On a envie d'enfoncer ses doigts dans la chaleur du sable, de lire sur des coussins en tas, et de ramener les tomates du fond du jardin en évitant le périlleux vol des cigales. Un "new in" monochrome.

ICES & CREAMS

"Prism", "Ain't no trouble" and "Gound loop" are some titles of the work of Mathieu Vernot. French photograph, you can find him on instagram. His work is based on zoom of photographs. Touches of summer and sum up of colours you can find now. Make me think about ice creams. Strawberry, vanilla, and mint.

IKEA SINNERLIG

Waiting for the new collection from IKEA called sinnerlig which will be available in august. It has been made in collaboration with Isle Crawford.

Paulo David is from Portugal and received the Alvar Aalto Price. You can see here the Art center casa das mudas in Calheta and the Swimming pool of the salt marsh.

His drawings are brutals. Constructions materials are rough.
Confrontation with water is recurrent. All these themes are fundament of his work. The heigth difference of the site allows him to confront full and empty parts. And the limits of the constructions are often the sea, playing with the skyline. I never visited any of his buildings but I can feel you should have vertigo visiting one. Never know where the building ends.

SUNDAY'S RECIPE // LEMON ICE CREAM

3 lemon (peel)

1 lemon (juice)

250 gr of icing sugar

30 cl of liquid cream

Mix together icing sugar and lemon juice in a bowl. Whip the cream in another bowl until it gets thick. Add the first mix in the second and whip everything until it gets thick again. Pour the cream in a bowl in your freezer for 6 to 8 hours.
